Dr Richard Newton
BHSc (Dent)/M Dent.
“I aim for the best outcomes and the healthiest mouths by involving my patients as much as I can. Providing an understanding environment and genuinely caring for the people attached to the teeth provides the best opportunity for a healthy mouth. I like to take time to explain and educate around an individual’s specific concerns so we can find the right solution together and provide treatment in a calm and comfortable manner.” – Dr Richard Newton
Richard grew up in the local area and after attending Mentone Grammar went on to become an Ambulance Paramedic. The fleeting contact with patients in the emergency environment set Richard onto pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a dentist. After working and living in country Victoria for several years he has returned to the area with his two young children.
Richard loves helping people and relishes the idea of treating people from the time they are children all the way through until later in life. Providing this ongoing relationship and continuity of care is an ideal that manifests in a preventative approach to maintain a healthy mouth, providing the skills and education for his patients to maintain their own teeth and only providing treatment when it is needed.
When not at work you will likely find Richard somewhere near or in the water.
